Christian McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, are preparing to welcome another addition to their family. The San Francisco 49ers star running back and the model announced the pregnancy on Instagram, sharing heartwarming pictures from a family picnic along with ultrasound images. The posts were made on May 8, which also marked Culpo’s 34th birthday.
“Best birthday gift ❤️ Baby #2 coming soon 🥹,” Culpo wrote in the caption.
The exciting news arrives just months before the couple’s daughter, Colette, is set to celebrate her first birthday in July. Over the past year, McCaffrey and Culpo have offered fans glimpses into their life as new parents, and they are now about to enter the “two under two” phase of parenthood.
McCaffrey also honored his wife with a Mother’s Day tribute over the weekend. “Watching you become a mom has been the biggest blessing. Happy First Mother’s Day. We love you ❤️,” he wrote.
Earlier this offseason, McCaffrey spoke about fatherhood and watching Colette grow during an interview with E! News. “Watching your daughter grow has been the coolest thing in my life,” he said. “Watching her develop a personality, start to notice the world, smile, move. It’s been awesome.”
He also joked about Colette’s changing resemblance. “Some days I’m like, ‘Man, she’s my twin.’ Other days, I see she’s a Culpo. I can see the eyebrows and the eyelashes.”
Now, the McCaffreys are gearing up for another baby before the football season kicks into full gear.
