The Chinese Table Tennis Association (CTTA) has officially unveiled the selection criteria for athletes and coaches aiming to compete at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The guidelines were published on the association’s official website today.
The 20th edition of the Asian Games is scheduled to take place from September 19 to October 4, 2026, with table tennis events running from September 20 to 28. The competition will feature seven medal events: men’s and women’s team, men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
Each delegation is permitted to field a maximum of five male and five female athletes. All registered players will participate in the team events. For singles events, each country can enter up to two men and two women, while up to two pairs per gender can compete in doubles, and two pairs in mixed doubles.
