Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has reached out to the club’s supporters following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Barcelona in El Clásico, which took place in week 35 of the 2025-2026 La Liga season.
The defeat at the Camp Nou officially handed Barcelona the league title, pushing their points tally to 91 at the top of the table, while Real Madrid remained stuck on 77 points.
In an emotional post on his official Instagram account, Courtois expressed his frustration and shared a heartfelt message with the fans. “We are just as sad and disappointed as you are. This season hasn’t gone the way we wanted. We will learn, we will respond, and we will be back,” the Belgian goalkeeper wrote.
The match also marked Courtois’ return to action after recovering from an injury he sustained against Manchester City in the Champions League.
